I’ve always loved a life of travel and adventure. Now, with two kids in tow, traveling has become a bit challenging and entails more planning, but it is still fun and exciting.
Recently, our family headed to Fallen Leaf Campground in South Lake Tahoe. Fallen Leaf Lake is majestic and the blue water is crystal clear. The trail to the lake was near our campsite, so it was easy for us to walk to the lake and back. The park ranger said that there were five bears in the area at that time. We never saw one, much to the disappointment of my kids.
The campground is very family friendly. The trails are easy enough for young kids, and the view of the lake is captivating.
I am really glad that, as young as my children are, they are appreciating the simplicity and calmness of a camping trip in nature.
